Ladies, I need your ideas.

This is the finished dresser I was telling you about. I just love the final look.

Look what I found in an old barn! It really solid, no loose rungs or legs. But as you can see, the seat is shot. Cleaning, sanding, and a good coat of paint......white of course, will be a great start. The problem is, what to do with the seat.

I can't afford to have the caning redone. I'm thinking a board the size of the hole and little padding and upholstering it. Well, I'm off to paint again.

A great giveaway

Would you look at these. They are the cutest little, handmade pincushions. There is a giveaway at Country Hearts at Home. I ran across this blog today and just fell in love with it. Go check these out.

A Monday morning thought

I'm just loving the fact that's it's rainy and I'm home today, with painting projects. Michelle is still not feeling 100%, so she is home with me too. It just feels like one of those days you just want to nest. I know you ladies will know what I mean. I plan on getting lots done, I sure hope I don't let myself down. Talk to y'all later.

Late night painting projects

My paint brush, patiently waiting for me to return.

You know how it is when the creative mood hits you. You just have to go with it. Well at least I do. I'll find myself getting up at midnight and painting something. I started a little earlier then that tonight, but I'm not done yet. I just took a break to let you in. I love sharing with you.

This little piece is going to be hard to part with, but part with it I will. I'll finish it tomorrow and put it in the shop. I found this little treasure in a thrift store over a year ago, but stuck it in a corner till tonight.

I'll finish it off with a glaze and maybe even tie a ribbon on one side. If can find the right one. Stick a few Country Living magazines in it a show if off. I'll post finished pics tomorrow.

I'm not sure yet how I'll finish this little corner shelf, but it does need more. I guess I'll sleep on this one.

This is a little tease of the dresser I was telling you about earlier. The same color and finish that I did on a clients fireplace.

I'll have it all put together tomorrow and post the final pics.

A family Saturday, gotta love it!!

Volunteer watermelon in the compost pile. I just cant bring myself to pull it up.

My son, Anthony was getting creative with the camera. He really has a good eye.

My Rusty. The happiest, most needy dog you will ever meet.

Frasier, our first rooster.

Lady G.G., our nanny. She is expecting this month. Last time she had 4 babies!!

Our newest edition to our herd. Our only buck, a blue eyed pygmy named Lightening. He should throw some pretty babies.

Delta Dawn, one of the babies we kept from Lady G.G. last spring.

One of our five cats. This one is Mars. All girls, ALL fixed!!

Miss Daisey May. Our oldest cat. She moved here from California with us. I thinks she's over 11.

Our Geese.

Yeas, that's me holding a goose.

Athens, haging out with us in the garden.

Our little molel, Michelle. We went shopping Saturday at Justice, with her gift card she received for her birthday from my sister Darlene. She had to have new pictures to show off her new duds. She is growing up so fast, we don't know what to do. She is really a good little girl.

Well we worked in the yard, planted a little and mowed. We had a friend over for dinner and it was a nice time had by all. You just can't go wrong with a family Saturday.

A full , productive Friday

The weekend started on Friday for me, with a fireplace makeover. It was a nice white fireplace, but it just didn't go with the clients new built-ins. So I was off to do my thing. First I removed the embellishments and sanded it down. Gave it a fresh color and did a glaze and there ya are.... The clients loved it and it made my Friday. The top pic has my hubby in it. He installed the new built-ins. I loved this color so much, I refinished a dresser I was given with the left over paint and glaze. I'll post pics of the dresser later. I still have to finish the drawers.

My daughter's room, a work in progress

Well this is how far I got this weekend. My husband textured the paneling Thursday night for me. I started painting Friday morning with a good coat of primer, then started with the colors. The rest I did Saturday and Today, repainted her desk, dresser and tall shelves. I still have a lot of little details to finish. The crown and all the rest of the trim, my husband installed Saturday too. I'll be painting that tomorrow. Her bed is still outside and waiting for a new coat of paint. I found her a nice used sleigh, daybed for cheap. I'm not sure what color I'm going to go with the bed. Let me know what you think. Please give me your ideas too.
