I'm back ;), with the thought of the week.

OK, when God decides to get your attention, He really knows how to get your attention. He did 9 years ago, when I went threw surviving colon cancer. But this was new. Last Monday seemed like it was going to be a typical Monday, but God had other plans. I wasn't feeling right when I got up, but thought, I'll just work threw it, no big deal. Well to make a long story short, I was in the ER by 11am and admitted into the hospital by 5 that evening, with what they thought may have been a small stoke. Yep, me, 47, having a stroke. Scary huh? Well, by Thursday morning and a whole lot of tests later, they decided it was a rare type or migraine. Not a stroke, and I was able to take a deep breath again and go home. So all I could think of was, OK God, you got my attention, what do you want me to learn from this.

That's, the thought of the week. What is God teaching you this week? Does He have your attention? Don't wait till a hospital stay to listen to what He has to say.

Hi Teresa,
Seems like I haven't been over in a very long time. I've missed you. I come over to visit today to find out you were in the hospital. Oh my, but I am so happy everything is OK. He definitely has my attention too. Please take care. Until next time.

Blessings and hugs,

Praise God you're OK! That would be so frightening but I'm so glad to hear that you're relying on God to teach you something through this. God's been teaching me patience and I wish He'd hurry up...just kidding. Really He is and sometimes it feels like I'm about to just squirm out of my skin because I like to have things all figured out and planned so that I can change the plan whenever I'd like. But I've been seeing little tid bits of what He's doing and I so long for His will that I just need to wait...and wait some more. I know in the end it will be SO worth every second things weren't in my hands but in His.
