Wonderful day!!

Today I had an amazing day!! Started out with exercising a couple of horses at the Healing Hoof Therapy Ranch. I got to ride a Friesian mare bareback!! OMGosh my legs are SO sore!! Then I went off to hang wallpaper. Yes a real job, woo hoo!! First one in 4 weeks.

What I miss most of all lately, is doing something creative. I want, no NEED, to make something this weekend. I know you crafters and artists out there will know what I'm talking about. Sometimes it just seems like it's going to start leaking out my ears if I don't do something on the artsy side. Well I have a bunch of vintage windows in the cottage calling my name to do something to them. I just might have to oblige them...lol. I'll post pics as soon as I know what I'm doing. What I am I saying...I never know what I'm doing. I just DO IT!! I'll just post pics when I'm done..........

Pumpkin Love

This is my fall post from last year. I wanted to repost it. It has some of my favorite pumpkin pics. Enjoy, again :)

I am having a serious addiction to pumpkins right now. Glitter ones, painted ones, big ones and small ones. Here are some pics that I have found around the net and wanted to share. I love the black and white ones. The top 4 pics are my very own concoction and they reside in our living room.

I'm back ;), with the thought of the week.

OK, when God decides to get your attention, He really knows how to get your attention. He did 9 years ago, when I went threw surviving colon cancer. But this was new. Last Monday seemed like it was going to be a typical Monday, but God had other plans. I wasn't feeling right when I got up, but thought, I'll just work threw it, no big deal. Well to make a long story short, I was in the ER by 11am and admitted into the hospital by 5 that evening, with what they thought may have been a small stoke. Yep, me, 47, having a stroke. Scary huh? Well, by Thursday morning and a whole lot of tests later, they decided it was a rare type or migraine. Not a stroke, and I was able to take a deep breath again and go home. So all I could think of was, OK God, you got my attention, what do you want me to learn from this.

That's, the thought of the week. What is God teaching you this week? Does He have your attention? Don't wait till a hospital stay to listen to what He has to say.

This is the finished dresser I was telling you about. I just love the final look.

Look what I found in an old barn! It really solid, no loose rungs or legs. But as you can see, the seat is shot. Cleaning, sanding, and a good coat of paint......white of course, will be a great start. The problem is, what to do with the seat.

I can't afford to have the caning redone. I'm thinking a board the size of the hole and little padding and upholstering it. Well, I'm off to paint again.

A Monday morning thought

I'm just loving the fact that's it's rainy and I'm home today, with painting projects. Michelle is still not feeling 100%, so she is home with me too. It just feels like one of those days you just want to nest. I know you ladies will know what I mean. I plan on getting lots done, I sure hope I don't let myself down. Talk to y'all later.
